Executive Search

Executive Search is the most effective and thorough way to recruit the best talents. It aims to track down and recruit people who are doing a great job in their current companies. These people are usually well respected and integrated into their existing work environment, so not actively looking for new jobs. They do not regularly read Situations Vacant pages so need to be identified and then approached on a direct, individual basis.

This is a time intensive process, so it involves a commitment from clients in advance, but it is the best way to hire the most Outstanding Candidates.

Executive Search has long traditions, originating in the US in 1920s, but it has undergone dramatic changes. As industry specialists Start is well aware of the Target Universes where particular candidates are most likely to be found, successfully identifying Outstanding Candidates and promoting client's opportunities over many years. But Start now adds to this what is termed "third generation research", beyond "the old-boys' network", involving systematic and creative cross-checking of a variety of sources through various directories (published and on-line), cold-calling, and telephoning existing contacts.

This is a tried and tested, structured methodology, to strict deadlines and deliverables formally agreed in advance with the client. This produces some of the very best applicants and ensures clients have exhausted all options. Clients should always be able to fill their open positions with the best possible talents, as long as they have something to offer and they engage Start to conduct their recruitment campaigns.
